Abstract:

"In the west, the discussions on OBOR tend to be framed in the context of China's rise and what it means for the global order. Very few studies look at what the project actually involves. Which countries are the focus of OBOR? Does OBOR contain a development strategy? If so, where does it come from? Is it new? Will it succeed? Who benefits most from the win:win investments?"
