Abstract:

In this talk we present two classes of numerical algorithms for Stokes Darcy interface problems. The first is a domain decomposition method, which solves the Stokes and Darcy problems on their physical domains independently and update the boundary conditions on the interface through iterations. The second is finite element method with temporal step size on each physical domains depending on the physical parameters such as the hydraulic conductivity and the viscosity coefficient. Error analysis as well as numerical experiments will be presented.
