Bio:

Gabriele Balbi is an assistant professor in Media Studies at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, USI Universitàdella Svizzera italiana (Switzerland). He is also director of the China Media Observatory, vice director of the Institute of Media and Journalism, responsible for the "communication and media" minor at the BA level, and member of USI Senate at the same institution. He is Vice-Chair of ECREA Communication History Section.

Amy Simons is an assistant professor at the School of Journalism, Missouri University, working in the areas ofmedia convergence.
