The School of Computer Science and Technology offers undergraduate programs in Computer Science and Technology and E-Commerce; master's degree programs in Computer Software and Theory, Computer Application and Computer Architecture; and doctoral programs in Computer Software and Theory, Computer Applications, Computer Architecture, and Digital Media Technology and Arts.
The school consists of 2 research centers and 3 research institutes: the Center for Human Computer Interaction and Virtual Reality, the Center for Software and Data Engineering, the Institute of Computer Software and Theory, the Institute of Computer Applications Technology, and the Institute of Computer Architecture.
This school mainly focuses its research on Human Computer Interaction and Virtual Reality, Software and Data Engineering, Geometric Design and Information Visualization, Information Security, Intelligent Computing, Parallel Processing and Information Retrieval, Mobile Computing, Embedded Systems, Web Information Technology, and Network Technology.
Faculties are actively involved in various kinds of research projects and have made great achievements. The school has undertaken more than 40 state-level projects and more than 90 province-level projects. Over the past decade, the school has received a total of 49 awards from the state, the Ministry of Education, and Shandong Province, in either research or teaching.
The school encourages various international exchange programs and has established close relationships with over 30 universities, research centers, and enterprises in more than 10 countries from Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia.
