The Serbia "Dandelion" Chinese Language Learning Program, jointly offered by Shandong University (SDU) and the China Cultural Center in Belgrade, Serbia, was launched online on Oct 13, aiming to cultivate multi-linguistic talents.
Over 140 people applied for this year's program, which was designed by SDU faculty according to students' Chinese language abilities and levels. The learning program emphasizes the comprehensive practical training of Chinese language, integrates the latest information about Chinese society and includes experiencing traditional Chinese cultural activities.
Han Shenghao, vice-president of SDU, set his expectations for Serbian students, asking them to learn Chinese proficiently in order to advance economic relations between the two countries.
Ma Xiaole, director of SDU's College of International Education, introduced the Chinese language learning program at the event and expressed her hope to utilize the program as a platform to explore more development methods and paths for overseas Chinese companies.
The "Dandelion" Chinese Language Learning Program is one of SDU's 2022 "Chinese Bridge" online projects, which aims to implement the integrated curriculum system of Chinese language and culture to meet the requirements of overseas students' learning needs, and help the localization of Chinese-funded companies and the innovative development of international Chinese education.
The program is hosted by the Center for Chinese-Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education, and supported by the Chinese Embassy in Serbia and Chinese-funded companies in Cyprus.
