Shandong University hosted a vibrant gathering of Chinese and South Korean youth on July 26, marking the launch of a peace-themed initiative and a grand Sino-Korean youth festival.
The event drew over 200 participants, including students and faculty from Shandong University and representatives of South Korean universities, businesses, governmental bodies, and friendship associations.

Professor Niu Linjie from Shandong University's School of Foreign Languages and Literature delivered a keynote speech titled "Sino-Korean Cultural Exchange and Mutual Understanding". He emphasized the pivotal role of enhanced mutual understanding in fostering a healthy and stable bilateral relationship, highlighting the historical context and contemporary practices of cultural exchange.
Throughout the day, Chinese and Korean youth shared personal anecdotes and reflections on their experiences with cross-cultural interaction. Their heartfelt expressions underscored a collective desire to strengthen bonds of friendship and promote peace, while a joint cultural performance captivated the audience. The event showcased the commitment of both countries' younger generations to building a harmonious future.
