Shandong University (SDU) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Bloomage Biotechnology Corp Ltd on May 13, marking a new phase in industry-university collaboration in the fields of biomedicine, healthcare, and industry innovation.

The signing ceremony and medical cooperation symposium took place at SDU's central campus. SDU President Li Shucai and Zhao Yan, chairwoman and president of Bloomage Biotechnology, attended the event and delivered remarks. Deputy Secretary of the SDU Party Committee Chen Hongwei presided over the ceremony.

Li stated that SDU and Bloomage Biotechnology had developed a strong partnership through joint research in various fields, achieving productive outcomes. He noted that the agreement is a practical move to support national strategies and advance industrial development.

Li expressed the hope that the two parties would focus on frontier fields such as biomedicine, jointly establish innovation consortia, address key core technologies, cultivate top innovative talent, and promote high-quality industrial development.

Zhao said the two sides had explored new cooperation models in recent years and have built a systematic, long-term, and in-depth strategic partnership. She mentioned the need to strengthen basic research collaboration, establish a "green channel" for research commercialization, support young scientists, and build an integrated ecosystem that includes industry, academia, research, medicine, application, and finance.

During the symposium, representatives from both sides presented technological needs and research results in the medical field and exchanged views on key cooperation areas, project implementation, and mechanism building.
